Chinese guardian lions or Imperial guardian lion, traditionally known in Chinese simply as Shi (Chinese: ?; pinyin: sh?; literally: "lion"), and often called "Foo Dogs" in the West, are a common representation of the lion in pre-modern China.
This old cast iron Foo Dog came from the north west of China, approximate 120-125 years old.
This pair male and female has the unusual looked and both pieces is in great condition for their age.
