The University of Nevada School of Medicine Integrated Clinical Services North is currently recruiting for a Clinic Manager in the Behavioral Health, a division of Psychiatry. This position is responsible for overseeing the efficient functions of the front office, scheduling, back office and medical records to ensure smooth patient flow. Functions as a liaison between the front office and back office, monitoring and implementing processes for best practices. Instructs staff in and promotes an excellent customer service atmosphere for patients. Responsible for the supervision of personnel as well as interviewing and selection of staff, corrective action and performance management of staff. This position is responsible to coach, mentor, train and monitor staff to ensure accurate and complete information is gathered from patients and physicians and processed to enable billing functions to be accurate. This position is expected to act as back up to the front office staff as the need arises. This may include duties such as answering phones, check in and out of patients, verifying insurance and obtaining authorizations Reviews office for safety practices, performs safety training, hazard reviews and fire drills to ensure a safe work environment. Maintains current knowledge of the medical industry and leadership skills. Requirements include: High School diploma or GED equivalent; demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English; demonstrated ability to use a computer with Word and Excel software ability; five years of supervisory experience in medical office, five years of customer service experience. LPN/RN preferred.
