Job Description
We're looking for a consumer loan underwriter to join one of Nevada's leading credit unions, so if you're looking for the opportunity to work for a stable company that offers work-life balance, please read on.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Provide credit and collateral risk analysis of high-risk loan applications to ensure that Credit Union loan policies and guidelines are adhered to for all consumer loans.
maintain influential working relationships with internal/external contacts by fostering professional business relationships
Perform underwriting of all exceptional, higher-risk loan applications
Document all exceptions to loan guidelines detailing requirement specifications in “notes” section of lending platform.
Contribute to achievement of team goals for all consumer loan production by accurately underwriting loan applications received from network branches and dealerships within prescribed timelines.
Act as primary source of information about all Credit Union loan products for network branches.
obtain and maintain a high level of knowledge of all Credit Union products.
Recommend updates of procedures and guidelines and make recommendations as needed to the Quality Team.
