Job Description:Job SummaryGenerates and maintains revenue from existing and new accounts. Handles customer complaints and solicits for new business and makes frequent sales calls to monitor customer services.Duties/ ResponsibilitiesDevelops and achieves maximum sales volume with accounts consistent with established sales projections for assigned territory.Secures new business, develops existing revenue base and generates additional business through prospecting efforts.Develops and maintains strong customer relations with accounts. Assures services are being provided to meet customer needs.Makes sales calls on a regular basis and develops and follows up on sales leads. Informs customers of current rates, tariffs, and regulations.Handles customer complaints and claims. Corrects bills of lading mistakes for customer. Follows up on undelivered freight notices. Assists terminal in collecting outstanding charges.Coordinates customer pick-ups, deliveries, and priority shipments.May perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsMust be able to read, write, and speak English.Must have a minimum of two (2) years sales experience must have a working knowledge and understanding of the LTL general commodities trucking industry.Must possess proven organizational and negotiation skills.Requires frequent travel
