Colt Type IV xxxx, 32acp; ser# xxxx49.
After it went to Japan, the details are lost to history, but it is likely it was carried by a Japanese officer during WWII, captured by a GI and brought back to the U.S. after the War. There are no import markings on it. This is one of those firearms that was a witness to history and events that leaves one wondering, "If only this gun could talk..."
I've taken photos to try to show the condition as accurately as possible.
The bore is very good. The rifling is strong and sharp. All the internals look excellent. It does show evidence of carry and use, but does not appear to have been neglected or abused.
The pistol comes with ONE magazine. It is a proper crimped-base, square-top, two-tone magazine for this Type IV pistol and is in very good condition.
