Job Description
Worldwide TechServices is looking for a regular full time Sr. Engineer HNS to join its Infrastructure Delivery team. Reporting to the Territory Supervisor the Engineer will perform a variety of hardware-focused, break fix services and solutions on various client products including desktops, laptops, televisions, basic printers, MF printers and Desk Side Support services. Candidates must possess the ability to perform basic, moderately complex and complex troubleshooting and repair activities. Position may require the exercise of basic, moderately complex and complex analytical skills and to make decisions based on established department and company guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Repair of satellite dishes on the roofs of homes and office buildings by the use of an extension ladder.
• Ability to use the standard ladder used by WWTS and rated by the American National Standards Institute (ASNI) to hold a weight of 300 pounds (including tool belt and equipment)
• Provides quality customer service and support for designated equipment Escalates problems to appropriate next level of support when necessary Monitors assigned service calls to ensure timely completion
• Ensures all time reporting and other required reports are accurate and submitted on time
• Meets or exceeds various service levels as established by assignment (calls per day, ETAs, on-time response, administrative call closure, client satisfaction)
• Responsible for ensuring on-going maintenance and development of positive relationships with all business partners and clients
• Ability to be part of geographic stand-by rotation which may require call out work during off hours including evenings and early mornings.
• Maintain all required OEM Certification
• Escalates problems to appropriate next level of support when necessary
• Monitors assigned service calls to ensure timely completion
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
•Typically requires technical school certification or equivalent and 2-5 years relevant experience
•PC, Laptop and Printer Hardware experience required
Certifications
•Preference will be given to candidates with prior Satellite experience
•Preference will be given to candidates with Dell and Lexmark certifications
•CompTIA A+ Hardware & Software Certification Preferred
